This makes use of the inverse Josephson effect by which the electrical voltage is measured directly via a natural constant &#8211; the Josephson constant KJ &#8211; can be defined. The AC\/DC Josephson quantum voltmeter is used to measure AC voltages of up to 7.19 volts at frequencies from 10 Hz to 2 kHz in addition to DC voltage sources.
